Follower Friday # 15


Q: What is one book that you would be nervous to see a movie adaption of because you think the movie could never live up to the book?

A: The upcoming movie release I'm so nervous about is The Host. I love that book more than Twilight, and with how much Twilight totally failed I'm really hoping it doesn't repeat itself. However, I'm kind of picky with movie adaptations because they're usually never as good as the book. What about you all?

    Hopping through. I am nervous about The Host too. I like the Twilight movies but they definitely aren't perfect.

    Lovely answer! I haven't read that yet! :) But I think as long as the author has a voice and participates in the decisions needed for the movie, the movie will turn out fine.

    Well... The Host is getting the same author-assisted help that Twilight did. And Austenland, actually!! So, yea, I'm worried. Either someone's not letting authors insist on what they want or authors don't know what we like about their books. Something's definitely amiss!!!! Good answer. -Burgandy Ice

      Yeah, every time I think about that I don't know what Stephanie Meyers was thinking so I don't know if I can really trust her judgement at this point, haha.

    I'm very nervous about The Host, too. I mean.. will they do the Heroes-move when it comes to Mel and Wanda talking to eachother?
