Anne Frank Keeps Me Thankful

Holy geezers Batman! This contest is massive. In the spirit of the holidays, Beth Revis
has decided to give thanks to those authors who inspire us in different ways. Picking one person is so difficult with so many great authors out there. It's kind of painful to narrow it down to just one person!

After hours of deliberation, I've finally decided to go with Anne Frank.

Since The Diary of Anne Frank, I've had this weird fascination with reading about the Holocaust. This book always made me remember to be grateful for all the things I have in my life. Frank's writing has this way of being somewhat haunting and inspiring all at once for me. She's also taught me to not take life for granted; you never know if you'll have tomorrow.

Overall, I just want to take this opportunity to thank Anne Frank for her life. Though gone, she will always live on through her work and the people she's impacted with her experiences.

This is a great contest. Think I need to sign up for it as well! Great post, I totally feel that reading Anne Frank's book probably did the same for me.

Aww, I agree with you completely! It's always so hard to choose just one book when there are so many amazing ones out there, but I guess if you HAD to, Anne Frank would be an amazing choice! Her story just blows me away every time I hear something about it, and I'm really glad she inspired you too, Preet! :)

Anne Frank was pretty dramatic when I read it in the 8th grade. Not a game changer for me though, but pretty eye opening at the time.

What I'm grateful for.
