His eyes rolled back into his head, hands clenched into fists at his sides as his mind formed one thought, and one thought only. That he wished he were dead. ~ Intangible by J. Meyers pg. 20

Ross Copperman- Bleeding Love

It's Ross Copperman! I love this guys voice. I was so happy I was finally able to buy this cover of his. His voice is always full of emotion when he sings. If an artists would ever have to write me a song(because ya know, that happens in real life) he'd definitely be a top pick. His lyrics never hold back to me. He always just puts emotions out there in a poetic way even if it's the sappiest thing ever! He can seriously do no wrong in my book.

"One box caught my attention. It was long and narrow, like the other boxes, but instead of words, it had strange symbols printed down the side. Curious, I wrenched off the lid and reached in, shifting through layers of plastic and foam, until my fingers closed around something long and smooth." ~ The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa pg. 128

Jason Walker- Echo

I may be in the minority here, but I did not watch The Vampire Diaries. I started when it first aired because I love Boone aka Ian Somerhalder, but due to me always wanting to punch Elena I never got past episode five. In comes Netflix and down goes whatever productivity I had during my days. All I've been doing after dinner for the past two weeks is watching a few(okay, sometimes more than a few) episodes of TVD every night. Not only have I become addicted to this show, it's also heavily increased my usage of the Shazam application on my phone. This song is from a fairly recent episode(Season 3), but I knew I had to have it instantly. I even went as far as rewinding a few times to properly get it tagged. Two questions...One, what are you guys listening/reading this week? Two, can someone please bring me a Jeremy or Tyler? Thanks.

I happened to come across this song this week and it was insta-love. Sometimes you need those songs that make little sense. What's weird is that in a way, it kind of does make sense in certain circumstances. I absolutely adore Blair's voice because it sounds unique, yet also eerily familiar. What do you guys think?

“She smiled for the first time, and he almost had to look away, as if something that nice didn’t belong in such a glum and gray place, as if he had no right to look at her expression.” ~ The Maze Runner by James Dashner

Pulling this out because it's what I've had on repeat all week. I've had a huge girl crush on Joss Stone for years now. She is one of those artists that plays after a super long time, and totally reminds me why I love them so much. She's all kinds of adorable and her voice is just SO soulful. I originally wanted to share her White Stripes cover, but I couldn't find a video that'd let me embed. Either way, listen and love  her as much as I do!

Tune in Tuesday: Kimbra-Good Intent

Thank you Spotify for your annoying ads! For once they made me accidentally click an ad I didn't mind. I adore Kimbra's voice. At first it sort of annoyed me, but then it totally grew on me after a few songs. I love her somewhat 50's styled themed music. I love pretty much anything vintage, so it's pretty understandable why I like her. I will say that some of her videos scare me when she's dancing, but she overall is pretty cool! What are all of you listening to this week?

"It felt as if a wintry wind had swept in behind him, and the sun that still shone on the back of my neck seemed to have lost its heat. I had forgotten my promise to see him this morning, which by itself would have cast me in disfavor, but that indiscretion became insignificant in light of my other misdeeds." ~ Allegiance by Cayla Kluver page 82

I've been on a huge 90's/early 00's kick this past week thanks to Spotify, and I must admit I've been reliving the days of boybands. I'm not the least bit ashamed to admit if Nsync were to do a reunion tour, you would totally see me in line. Anyways, this brings me to my song. As a teenager O-Town was my other go to when I needed a fix. Sadly they didn't make it very long in the world of music, but they're still continually played on my shuffle of tunes. As my favorite song never had a video made for it, I went for their last song. I truly did enjoy their sound and wished they were still together. Who were some of your 90's/00's favorites?

Finally! NetGalley let me get my hands on a copy of Spellcaster a few days ago. Really, I think they made me wait on purpose for a month to torture me. It really isn't nice of them to keep me away from getting my Brendan Salinger fix. Though it is a nice V-Day present since he's been missed.

"A person- at least, I think it was a person- in all black with a black hood covering the face- was standing amidst the tree, the figure obscured by the shade.

And then the figure started running toward me."

I'll be celebrating my V-Day gorging on chocolate deliciousness and watching one of my favorites, (500) Days of Summer. Between Brendan Salinger and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, I'm sure to be a big pile of saptastic wonderfulness this week! Every time this song comes up on my playlist (sidenote: 500 Days seriously has one of the BEST soundtracks ever) I have to do a little happy dance in honor of the movie. I think it captures what being in love would feel like so well! Okay, I don't know if I'd feel like Harrison Ford, but maybe the female equivalent would be Audrey Hephburn or someone? Either way, this song is filled with all kinds of amazingness that you just can't ignore!

Tune in Tuesdays: The Pierces- Secret

Tune in Tuesdays is weekly meme brought to this lovely blog by Ginger at GReads! Love books and music? Check it out!

I've been watching Pretty Little Liars throughout the day and this song has been haunting me all day. I don't know if it's just me, but I think of a circus or one of those creepy fun houses when I hear this song. This song just gives me chills. I think if I ever saw any of the people in this video in person I'd probably run the other way. The song alone is creeper status, but paired with the video it's even scarier! I think the sisters did a great job at making me never want to meet them, haha. What are you guys listening to this week?

Tune in Tuesdays: R.E.M.- ÜBerlin

Tune in Tuesdays is weekly meme brought to this lovely blog by Ginger at GReads! Love books and music? Check it out!

I've been in a really odd and down mood this week and was looking for things that would make me happier. Combining my love for Aaron Johnson and dancing like a maniac always ends in me smiling! I'm sure the people in the video are likely extras, but a little part of me really hopes they aren't because imagining some guy dancing around like that in public makes my day.

Tune in Tuesdays: Somebody That I Used to Know by Walk Off the Earth

I didn't think I'd like this, but it very much attracted me. I love the guy in the middle who just sort of comes out of nowhere. It's a pretty cool collaboration idea overall.

Tune in Tuesdays: Heartbeat by Childish Gambino

Tune in Tuesdays is weekly meme brought to this lovely blog by Ginger at GReads! Love books and music? Check it out!

I'm not a big radio listener, but I'm glad this song came on as I listened. I love those moments where a song stops me from working and I have a, "What is this? I WANT IT NOW!" moment. Something about the dubstep makes me want to go out and party like it's 1999. I don't think I'll be getting sick of this song anytime soon.

Tune in Tuesdays: You Make Me Feel...ft. Sabi by Cobra Starship

Tune in Tuesdays is weekly meme brought to this lovely blog by Ginger at GReads! Love books and music? Check it out!

Something about Cobra Starship has always made me happy. Gabe Saporta always makes me feel like having a good time. He's especially been helpful while I've been stuck at home and super bored. I love that Starship's music has always been about fun and not taking things too seriously. Saporta plus coffee on early mornings are like the perfect morning pick me up. Seriously, you guys should try it!

Tune in Tuesdays: Austin by One Hot Minute

Tune in Tuesdays is weekly meme brought to this lovely blog by Ginger at GReads! Love books and music? Check it out!

One Hot Minute has been one of my favorite bands for a few years now. They don't have much of a presence, but I adore their old album, so much! Something about the lead singers voice just hits me so much. What attracted me most to their music is their lyrics. The lyrics are so heartfelt, I don't know how you can't love them. Okay, maybe I'm more of a sap than the average person. Anyways, the above song is one of their newer released songs. I was unable to choose just one song from their old album since I heart it so much. If you can get your hands on a copy of their old album, The Story So Far, I highly recommend it. Here are some extra links I rounded up to listen to with free downloads! Who doesn't like free music?

Tune in Tuesdays: Cinema by Benny Benassi ft. Gary Go

Tune in Tuesdays is weekly meme brought to this lovely blog by Ginger at GReads! Love books and music? Check it out!

This song has been my tune on repeat for the last week. I originally heard the dubstep remix version first, but I honestly love the original more. Something about Gary Go's voice always gets to me. I feel like his songs have this way of sort of creeping up into your head and getting stuck there. The song can oddly put you in that sappy mood and hype you up at the same time. I want to hug people and jump around when I hear it. I don't do this since people would look at me funny, but know I'm thinking it if this song is on and you're around me!

Tune in Tuesdays: Cowboy Bebop Introduction

Tune in Tuesdays is weekly meme brought to this lovely blog by Ginger at GReads! Love books and music? Check it out!

So, I don't even care if anyone makes fun of me for using this as my song of the week. Instead of studying yesterday, I started watching this anime throughout the day. I've never really watched any animes, but I've been told by some of my besties to check certain ones out. The introduction to this show just makes me smile, and I have absolutely no idea why. It's reminds me of 80's television theme songs. I also kind of want to do something like the jive, or some Austin Powers related dance moves. If I ever had a walking theme song, I think I'd pick this to be it.

Tune in Tuesdays: No Beef by Afrojack & Steve Aoki feat. Miss Palmer

Tune in Tuesdays is weekly meme brought to this lovely blog by Ginger at GReads! Love books and music? Check it out!

What, this blog does music too?! Yeah, I know I've been failing at the music portion lately. My music addiction hasn't been up to par with work getting in the way. However, I'm back to it and I have a few ideas on where to take the music portion of this blog. Stay tuned folks, this should get fun!

I'm not usually into music that is heavily beat oriented. I like having lyrics and obsessively going over them. For once though, Steve Aoki is the exception. I can't get enough of this song. I've been caught a number of times in the recent weeks bopping my head to his beats. I feel sorry for my cubicle mate sometimes; I think she may think I'm crazy. I'm either dancing one minute or getting crazy excited about some book. It's okay, I'll just continue to let her look at me like I'm crazy.

Seriously though, it's impossible to hear this song and not move a little bit. When I first heard the song I thought it would be really repetitive, but it has this way of creeping up on you in the weirdest way. The way they both blended the heart pumping beats with slow melodies is just so different. It's like your ears are lifting weights and working out. Though the video is pretty random, I don't see this song getting old for me anytime soon.
